Moose

Moose are the largest member of the deer family. They are usually active during the day and can be found crossing rivers and in ponds throughout the Park. Moose are usually solitary unless the females are caring for their calves. A full grown moose has few enemies, but wolves are known to take down older moose or a young calf. One of the most distinctive features is the cylindrical antlers on the males. The males will loose its antlers after mating season and grow a new set in the spring.
